The Infosys OffCampus

 

Just attained Infosys offcampus...... I got call letter for written test PI on 21st November, 10 days before the scheduled written test on Kamothe Navi Mumbai.

There was a aptitide  and verbal test ,

For aptitude you can refer simple IQ questions from any competitive exam book plus there are mathematical puzzles you can refer

1) Puzzles to puzzle you - Shakuntla Devi

2) More Puzzles - Shakuntla Devi

3) R S Aggrawal For some mathematical aptitude

The paper on aptitude was fairly tough and has low time limit 40 minutes

Here are some questions

1) Something like finding 11 prime numbers whose  average is also a prime number where each number is smaller than 45. There were questions based on the findings like

Which is largest prime number etc etc

Never attempt the puzzles first attemp all objectives first

2)There were all objective questions half of which are easy IQ questions some were base on graphs of liabilities and industrial terms and 5-7 of them were base on conditional things like odd thing out

3) Verbal test consist of reading passage as well as detecting grammatical errors in the sentences was fairly easy but has strict time limit of 35 minutes

 

Interview: I was shortlisted for intervview on the following day. at Raheja chambers Nariman point

Interview started at 10 AM next day

There were usual dialogues abt by experience . Academic achievements and Hobbies

Be prepared abt your hobbies they always asks abt it

Why you have applied for infosys?

Tell me something abt infoys?

They asked me two puzzles

1)

a=sqrt(12+(sqrt(12)+sqrt(12+.......upto infinity))))

Simplify to a*a=a+12

The answer was A=4 Simple quadratic equation

2) What was significance of number 1729

=1 cube+ 12 cube =10 cube +9 cube

It is ramanujan number

Other puzzles are:

3) How many square are there in 8X 8 chess board

Ans 204

=8cube+7cube+......+1cube

 

4) How will you form 4 point equidistance from one another

5) tell me creative use of pen? of a pen cap

6) Arrange 12 candles in to form 6 rows of 4 candles

Ans make a star

There was another HR session in ext round of the interview and there werer simple questions , They just check for the Communication skills
